Online Sports Betting – Breeders’ Cup Challenge Winner Meant To Be

While a ton of work can go in to sports betting handicapping and the preparations that players make to win big, the Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge is proof that as long as you are in the game, anything can happen and anyone can win regardless of the odds. Patrick McGoey of New Orleans is living proof of that theory after pulling in an incredible $270,000 on a wager that cost him only $100.

A partner in the commercial litigation firm Schonekas, Evans, McGoey, and McEachin L.L.C. in New Orleans, McGoey risked $100 in a qualifying tournament back in May in which he was able to beat out 90 players on www.bcqualify.com in able to earn his $10,000 buy-in for the big tournament this past November. That buy-in would allow him to wager a specific amount on each of the races at the Breeders’ Cup, and while he started slow, he had enough money leftover to wager on a longshot in the final race for a chance to win the big prize. McGoey was nowhere near the top of the pay head leaderboard when he made his final bet on Drosselmeyer for the Classic, which was his best bet to win the tournament at strong enough odds. If it wasn’t for his predicament, McGoey would never have bet on Drosselmeyer in order to win the $270,000 prize. But in the end he made the sportsbook review bet, took home the reward, and will remember the event as simply something that was meant to be.
